Facebook Page Template Instructions
Using The Provided 'Host Your Own Pages' Templates

1. Open your required template with any HTML editor or even a basic notepad editor.

2. Search the page for the following and edit below the comments your required information:

3. Creating your Facebook Page and Integrating Your Template:

Step 1. If you don't already have a Facebook account, then sign up for one here.

Step 2. Login to your facebook account, go to the 'developers' page here and click on the Apps tab at the top and then Create New App from the drop down menu to create a new application, enter a name for your application where is asks for 'Display Name', select the category from the drop down menu 'Apps For Pages' and then click 'Create App'.

You should now be in your new app 'Dashboard', copy your App ID and place it in your template where it says 'YOUR_APP_ID'. Leave this page open, as well will need to add to it in a later step.

Step 3. Upload your template to your required location (must be SSL certified, ask your web host for details, we recommend D9 Web Hosting).
For example: https://www.YOUR-DOMAIN.com/YOUR-PAGE/
in the App you created on Facebook in step 2 click on 'Settings' in the left column, then in the 'Basic' tab click on '+ Add Platform' and click on 'App on Facebook' and enter your URL's there. Save changes.

Click on '+Add Platform' again and click on 'Page Tab'. Take the same URL's you added for your Canvas URL's and in your Page Tab URL and Secure Page Tab URL, enter them in the relevant fields. Also, add your page tab image and enter a 'Page Tab Name', this can be anything you like, you can change it later if needed. Don't forget to 'Save Changes' once you have entered your details.

Step 4. Click on the 'App Details' link in the left sidebar navigation and under the 'Contact Info' on that page click on the 'Create New Page' button. Agree to Facebook's Terms and click on the 'Get Started' button.
If you accidentally closed your page at any time then you can find your page by navigating to the pages section here and clicking on 'Your Pages' at the top right of the page, then select your page.

Step 5. In order to add a custom tab to your page you need to add your 'App ID' from your application page on Facebook, into this code where it says 'YOUR_APP_ID' then paste the complete URL into your web browser address bar and hit enter. You will then be asked which page to add your custom tab to, select the page you require and 'Add Page Tab'.

Testing and Tweaking. Test your new page by going back to the pages section here and clicking on 'Your Pages' at the top right of the page. Then simply click on the link to go to your page and you should see your tab name in the left navigation under 'APPS'. Click on it then click on the 'Like' button to see your 'after like' page. You can unlike from the top navigation if needed.

You should personalize your page, by navigating to the pages section here and clicking on 'Your Pages' at the top right of the page, select your page,then 'Settings' in the top navigation.

You can also navigate back to your application by clicking here and then clicking on 'Apps' in the top navigation and select your app. You may want to have a look through your settings and change any that you may want to, if you are not sure then leave them as they are. We recommend you change the 'Icon' in basic settings, you get these graphics in the package we mentioned from GFX-1 here.
